Accumet is an industry-leading advanced processing manufacturer for new and legacy materials fabrication, precision laser services, and critical component assembly. We are looking for an experienced Laser Maintenance Technician to our Facilities/Maintenance team in Devens, Ma. 

Job Summary

Primary responsibilities will include maintaining and troubleshoot high voltage equipment to support production, lead a preventative maintenance program and keep accurate maintenance records while constantly striving towards a goal of zero downtime.

 Responsibilities

• Focus on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of manufacturing operations; primarily lasers at Westford facility.
• Knowledge of current industrial electrical standards and codes.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics; analog or digital and hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
• General machine re-build skills required.
• Understanding of lasers; CNC table and wiring.
• Diagnose maintenance related problems to determine the extent of repairs necessary
• Experience in working with conduit installation; power supply and control wiring and industrial wiring practices.
• Performs necessary welding and sheet metal operations required to make maintenance repairs or replacement components.     

 Minimum requirements:

• Ability to read and comprehend drawings and work instructions
• Understanding of laser components; wave lengths; optics; assist gases
• Understanding of manufacturing computer applications
• Time Management skills, must be able to multitask
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial mechanical maintenance in manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift 30 lbs.

Location: Devens, MA

Hours: 7-3:30 with overtime as needed

Reports to: Facilities Supervisor

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
