Summary of essential job functions

You will be expected to set up and run high powered metal cutting lasers with minimal supervision; understand and be able to modify CNC code; and to follow established policies/procedures to ensure that appropriate steps are followed and completed enabling to pass 1^st and 2^nd piece inspections.  You will be required to take heed to all necessary precautions when using CO2 based machines; follow quality procedures and coordinate issues through appropriate channels.  (i.e.) supervisors, managers, sales, QA..   

Minimum requirements:

-        Extensive programming knowledge

Job Summary

Primary responsibilities will include, but not limited to setting up master programs for customer jobs (etching, marking, engraving, etc. for a wide variety of materials); identifying and troubleshooting CAD software problems; continuous improvement and development of CAD process and automatic processes by applying new techniques available through CAD software;  proactively interacts with other departments to develop feedback look for process efficiency.

• Read technical drawings and set up the machines in accordance with these blueprints
• Use computer software to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly
• Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications
• Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality
• Consider tools required to cut particular materials and program machines accordingly
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise
• Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening
• Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC machines and programs

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required

 You will be expected to understand and maintain production related process or assembly, specifically validation of good quality and dimensional consistency.  The ability to use mathematic formulas to convert, scale and modify programs.  Basic fixturing using vices, v-blocks, rotary; as well as, understanding of CNC code (G Code).  The need to follow instructions, both visually/written, attention to detail and quality parts, is imperative.

 Minimum requirements:

-        Ability to read/understand blueprints, geometric tolerances

-        Knowledge of AutoCAD style software, alpha cam, solid works is a plus

-        Knowledge of drawing software related to vector manipulation like Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator

We are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector who will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the customer supplied drawing as well as quality notes and dimensional measurement requirements. The Quality Inspectors will utilize multiple visual inspection devices and measurement tools determined by the specific needs of each Job.

Responsibilities

• Verify part dimensions and tolerances to ensure conformance to specifications of both incoming material and production parts

• Perform In-Process Inspection (IPI) of production to verify quality assurance standards are being achieved
• Complete Inspection reports and NCRs (non-conformance reports)
• Validate documentation and monitor calibration activities
• Knowledge of ISO/AS Requirements
• Reconcile final inspection documentation

• Run Nd Yag lasers, as well as the use of shield gas (Argon, Helium, Nitrogen) to prevent visual discoloration when required.
• Use one of three process parameters in welding: “pulse width” or “width”; “frequency” or “rate”; and “PFN” or “height”. 
• Knowledgeable of different materials for welding (i.e.: stainless steel; carbon steel; titanium; aluminum, etc.
• Ability to set up jobs and determine the required fixture.
• Follow established policies/procedures to ensure that appropriate steps are followed and completed, enabling to pass 1st and 2nd piece inspections.
• Take heed to all necessary precautions when using Yag based machines; follow quality procedures and coordinate issues through appropriate channels.  (i.e.) supervisors, managers, sales, QA.

• Unload trucks and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Pick, pack, and package products for shipment according to orders.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and sales teams to resolve inventory, documentation or shipment discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records (physical and system) for shipping/receiving activities, support inventories and reconciliation processes.
• Put away received goods into correct storage location, ensuring lot numbers, revision levels, serials (if applicable) are maintained.
