CNC Machinist
Job Overview
Accumet Engineering Inc, is an industry-leading advanced processing manufacturer for new and legacy materials fabrication, precision laser services, and critical component assembly. We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining, and be proficient in interpreting technical drawings and Blueprints. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality components that meet strict specifications.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC milling machines and other machining equipment to produce precision parts.
- Set up and calibrate machines according to specifications and production requirements.
- Interpret CAD drawings and SolidWorks models to ensure accurate machining processes.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any operational issues.
- Utilize hand tools and basic math skills for measuring, cutting, and assembling components.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve tooling and machining processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Programming the machine
Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with CNC programming languages.
- Familiarity with tooling techniques and the ability to work with tight tolerances is required
- Experience using CAD software for design purposes is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, including milling and turning operations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, tooling, and assembly techniques.
Physical Demands
The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk; lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision ability is required which includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
