Deburring and Processing Specialist -temp to perm
Accumet is an industry-leading advanced processing manufacturer for new and legacy materials fabrication, precision laser services, and critical component assembly. We are looking for a Deburring and Processing Specialist to join our team at the Westford, MA location.
This is a full-time temp to perm role with the goal of transitioning to permanent employment within 2-4 months.
Job Summary
Primary responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the removal of post machine burr and assisting, as needed, in the Processing Department. The deburring area of the Metals Department is responsible for removing any residual “burr” after material/parts have been laser cut. The removal of this excess substance can be done in a number of methods, depending on job instructions (metal filing, palm sanding, grinding equipment, tumblers or liquid cleaners). You will also assist in the processing department in final preparation parts for shipment such as snapping, cleaning, etc.
Minimum Requirements
- Knowledge of power tool usage such as grinders to debur customer product
- Ability to handle heavy steel
- 2 years of manufacturing experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, managers and other departments
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Experience with manufacturing software/or similar job tracking software (ShopTech-E2)

Location: Devens, MA
Hours: 7am-3:30pm with overtime as needed
Reports to: Production Supervisor
