$90k - $110k (depending on experience)

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Overtime as required)

Job Summary

Accumet Engineering is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations within our precision machining and laces processing facility.  This is a full-time, on-site position based in Devens, Massachusetts.

The role is responsible for ensuring production targets, quality standards, and operational efficiency goals are consistently met.  The Production Manager will lead a team of skilled operators and technicians while coordinating closely with sales, engineering, quality and senior leadership to maintain smooth production flow and deliver high quality products on schedule.

This position requires strong leadership, hands-on problem solving, and experience managing production in a machine shop or precision manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all daily production activities within the facility

• Lead and support a team of 25+operators and technicians

• Ensure production schedules are met & jobs are shipped on time while maintaining high quality standards.

• Coordinate workflow between production, quality control, and sales teams.

• Monitor machine performance and address equipment issues or downtime.

• Implement and maintain ISO procedures and quality management standards.

• Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.

• Develop production schedules, staffing assignments, and workflow plans.

• Troubleshoot production challenges and resolve issues on the manufacturing floor.

• Support employee training, cross training, and skills development.

• Maintain compliance with workplace safety policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• 5-10 years of expertise in a machine shop, job shop or precision manufacturing environment.

• Prior experience supervising or managing production teams.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows and shop operations.

• Experience working in ISO regulated manufacturing environments.

• Familiarity with shop management software/ERP Systems preferred.

• Very strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.

Physical Requirements

• The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk; lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.  Specific vision ability is required which includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.  The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
